Celery & Cheddar Dip

Makes 1½ cups

100g Anchor Tasty Cheese
2 stalks celery
¼ cup natural yoghurt
1 tsp Tabasco sauce or to taste
½ cup Anchor Non Fat Milk Powder
Freshly ground black pepper

Break the cheese into small pieces. Roughly chop the celery. Place the cheese, celery, yoghurt, Tabasco sauce, milk powder and freshly ground black pepper into a food processor. Process until smooth, add more yoghurt as required. Use as a dip for chips or raw vegetables.

Super Sauce Base

This is a great sauce base that you can make up ahead of time and bring out whenever you need a delicious sauce in a hurry!.

Basic Mix:
125g Anchor butter
1 cup flour
1 cup Anchor Milk Powder

Chop butter and rub into dry ingredients or combine in a food processor. Store in a covered container in freezer or refrigerator.

White Sauce

Makes about 1 cup

Take ¼ cup basic mix and whisk in 1 cup lukewarm water until smooth. Cook, stirring over low heat until thickened. Simmer 2 minutes, season with salt and pepper.

Cheese & Chilli Sauce or Dip

To the white sauce add 1 cup grated Anchor Tasty Cheese and ½ - 1 tsp diced chilli. Use as a dip for taco chips or add 3 cups cooked shell pasta and serve as a light meal.

Egg & Gherkin Sauce

To the white sauce, add 2 chopped hard-boiled eggs, 1 tsp prepared mustard and ¼ cup diced gherkin. Serve over vegetables or fish.
