Anchor Milk Iced Fresh Fruit Smoothies

Serves 2

Ingredients:
1 cup fruit
¾ cup Anchor Milk
Flavouring to taste

Method:
The night before you want them, freeze even sized chunks (about 2 cm) of fruit on a tray. Just before serving, place the frozen fruit in a blender or food processor with the milk and the flavouring of choice, and blend to make a smooth, thick drink.

Try these great variations:

  • Mango, melon and pineapple and 1-2 teaspoons of honey
  • Apricots with 2 teaspoons of drinking chocolate or chocolate syrup
  • Mixed berries with 1-2 teaspoons of sugar desired.

Creamy Mushroom & Bacon Pasta

Serves: 4

300g spaghetti
3 tbsp Anchor butter
4 bacon rashers, chopped
3 tbsp flour
2 cups Anchor milk
200g mushrooms sliced
2 tbsp chopped parsley

Cook spaghetti following the packet directions. Heat butter in a pan. Add bacon; cook for 3 minutes. Stir in flour, then gradually stir in milk. Bring to the boil, stirring, then add mushrooms; simmer for 3 minutes. Drain spaghetti; combine with sauce and parsley. Toss well before serving.
